About Thalia

Thalia Halloran is a student at Duke University, where she is pursuing a BA in English with minors in Creative Writing and History. She was awarded the 2019 Margaret Rose Knight Sanford Scholarship for Creative Writing, the 2019 Reynolds Price Fiction Award, and the 2019 second place George Lucaci Award for Creative Nonfiction. Thalia has been writing since she was three, when her older sister taught her to read by drawing letters on a chalkboard easel. Her earliest manuscripts are scrawled in unintelligible, almost runic handwriting, which most assuredly has improved over the years. Read her work here.
